Scott Cashes In for $20,000, Cain Sweeps Stock Cars at Vado’s 26th Annual Fall Nationals

48 10/18/2026 USRA Scott Cashes In for $20,000, Cain Sweeps Stock Cars at Vado’s 26th Annual Fall Nationals VADO, N.M. (October 16-18, 2026) — Stormy Scott saved his biggest performance for the biggest payday, charging from seventh to capture Sunday’s $20,000-to-win Modified finale as Vado Speedway Park wrapped up three nights of racing during the 26th Annual Fall Nationals. The weekend welcomed three USRA divisions, with Josh Cain sweeping all three Edelbrock USRA Stock Car features and Rob Moseley collecting back-to-back victories in the PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mods. Three different winners reached victory lane in the Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds, capped by Scott’s triumph in Sunday’s 50-lap main event. Friday: Cain, Jobin and Sanders strike first Cain opened the weekend by driving from fifth to victory in the Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars. RC Combs advanced from ninth to second, while Rob Moseley climbed from 11th to third. Cameron Martin finished fourth, followed by Jonathan Burton in fifth. Devon Jobin captured the opening-night victory in the PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mods. Israel Ortega moved from sixth to second, with Brian Craighead third, Christy Barnett fourth and Moseley fifth. Starting outside the front row, Rodney Sanders claimed Friday’s Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modified feature. Terry Phillips finished second, while Tanner Mullens advanced from sixth to third. Stormy Scott moved from seventh to fourth, and Jake Timm gained three positions to complete the top five. Saturday: Cain doubles up, Moseley and Bowen break through A seventh-place starting position could not keep Cain from returning to victory lane Saturday in the Edelbrock USRA Stock Cars. Moseley finished second, followed by Francisco Knight, Combs and Andrew Fanning. Moseley then moved to the top step of the podium in the 25-lap PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mod main event. Ortega earned his second runner-up finish in as many nights, with Chris Hooper third. Barnett advanced from eighth to fourth, while Greg Gorham delivered one of the night’s strongest charges, racing from 17th to fifth. Broc Bowen converted his pole position into a victory in the Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modifieds. Reece Solander climbed from sixth to second, and Talan Willis finished third. Jake Gallardo advanced from 10th to fourth, while Timm stormed from 18th to fifth. Sunday: Scott claims the big check, Cain completes the sweep Cain put the finishing touches on a perfect weekend Sunday, winning the Edelbrock USRA Stock Car finale from the pole. Moseley collected another second-place finish, with Martin third. Fanning advanced from 10th to fourth, and Mingo Jauregui worked his way from 11th to fifth. Moseley secured his second consecutive PEM Racing Gears & Drivetrain USRA B-Mod victory after starting outside the front row. Barnett finished second, followed by Friday winner Jobin, Gorham and Hooper. The weekend culminated with the 50-lap, $20,000-to-win Mel Hambelton Ford USRA Modified main event. Scott charged from seventh to claim the Fall Nationals finale and its top prize. Sanders finished second, with Mullens completing the podium in third. Willis took fourth, and Jake O’Neil rounded out the top five. With Cain’s three-race sweep, Moseley’s two B-Mod victories and Scott’s $20,000 score, the 26th Annual Fall Nationals delivered a memorable weekend at Vado Speedway Park.
